I do not believe that the Summit will bring big changes. "Bulgaria has made it clear that it has no plans to change its position. Regarding the question of why and how France and the EU can not deal with Bulgaria and Radev, I think there are two factors," MIA correspondent and MIA correspondent told Utrinski briefing. Brussels, Tanja Milevska.

According to her, one factor is that Bulgaria is crucial in Russia's invasion of Ukraine in terms of energy and is more strategic and more important for the EU than Macedonia.

- The second thing is that unlike the dispute with Greece, this is a dispute that the "Westerners" do not understand and it seems to them totally abstract, Byzantine, Balkan. "I think our diplomacy could have explained it much more," Milevska said.

Now the pressure is not only on Skopje but also on Sofia, the journalist believes.

- The fact that Borrell and the European Commission for the first time gave a deadline that the negotiations must start in June is more in favor of Macedonia than Bulgaria. I think that Bulgaria has much more interest in prolonging this problem. So it was with Greece, to which procrastination suited. This is the maximum that the EU with its bureaucratic restrictions can do and is quite brave within its competences, although the EC does not have that power, says Milevska.
