VIDEO | Makraduli: Government does not give up selling mail, public-private partnership is a realistic option
-Currently the net loss for this year is around 3 million euros, but has accumulated other losses that are not related to the operation of the Post this year. This loss is due to two factors - the collapse and the bankruptcy of Eurostandard Bank, says the director Jani Makraduli for the Morning briefing.
- We are slowly recovering but we are still far from what it was in 2020. We are late in terms of financial services. The post office has about 1 million in revenue, he added.
-Public-private partnership is a realistic variant. The process of legalization with the post office facilities is not over yet and we do not have much real estate because we share the one with German Telecom. The potential we have requires additional input and expert knowledge for new organizational skills. "We are fighting alone, and in many countries in the world the budget is subsidized," said Makraduli.
- The data show that customers return to the services of the Macedonian Post but we also fight with illegal competition. In the country, cars from another country circulate and make deliveries, without paying tax and thus the state loses, he said.
"We are constantly offering and seeking solutions to the Government, we are acting together with Telecom, we are now in the process of dividing the electricity… The Government is not giving up post offices, with the public-private partnership we will strengthen the service, and we will make big steps forward," he told Morning Briefing the general Director and President of the Management Board of AD "Post of Northern Macedonia", Jani Makraduli.
