The Board of Directors of Makedonski Posti decided yesterday that all packages of five kilograms can be distributed in urban areas from address to address, for 80 denars. It is a New Year's offer that will last until January 15 next year. We also show flexibility towards people who are in isolation due to the presence of the Covid-19 virus, ie we deliver home deliveries to them, said today in the morning briefing the director of the Macedonian Post, Jani Makraduli.

He stressed that in the period from March to June there was no proper response to the shipment, but now with a new strategy we will be able to do that, said Makraduli.

Payment of bills at the Post Office will begin to be realized by the beginning of March.

- We received a positive opinion from the Government, the agreement will be signed with Halk Bank. We will offer the citizens the lowest commission when paying the bills. On the other hand, payment operations for us as an institution is very important, as input in the company's budget, and therefore we have an interest to start that process as soon as possible, informs Makraduli.

According to him, state-owned enterprises are not always the best businessmen.

It is our obligation to increase the capacity of the post office and make it more competitive in the market. That way the value of the company will be higher. At this moment we are in the phase of financial stabilization, the introduction of new services that will restructure the Post Office, and then we will see how it will affect the market. According to the Law we are a universal provider of postal services. We have 330 locations in all rural areas, and 504 counters throughout the country. Not every private service can do that and be profitable, said Makraduli.

Macedonian Post has a debt of 10 million euros.

-It is an accumulated debt that has accumulated from year to year. The debt is not a consequence of the management of the CEOs of the Post. There are some government decisions that have contributed to a drastic loss of the Post Office budget. The previous government twice decided to forgive the debts of public companies to the Post Office, it cost the Post Office a lot. Part of the shares from the sale of Postenska Banka were not collected by the Post Office and were collected by the Government when investing in that process. The planned loss for 2020 was 77 million denars, but due to the Covid pandemic and the loss of payment operations will be greater. Our commitment is to stabilize financially in 2021. I see the process of restructuring Posti through the process of digitalization by offering new services, e-commerce will be a priority in the future, said the director of Posti.

-I appeal to young people instead of congratulations on Viber, to send real congratulations to their loved ones. That way we will return to the tradition but we will also practice writing, because in this digital age we seem to have forgotten it. The price is only 9 denars with a stamp, and the greeting cards are made of recycled paper, Makraduli appeals.
