The Lebanese Ministry of Health said today that at least 20 people were killed in an Israeli attack on the Shiite town of Almaty, in the predominantly Christian Jbeil district, north of Beirut.

"Twenty people died in the Israeli attack, including three children, and six were wounded," the world agencies reported on the new death toll in the attack, since 12 people were previously reported dead.

Meanwhile, the search for survivors in the ruins continues.

Official Lebanese media previously reported an Israeli attack on a house in the eastern Lebanese city of Baalbek. The attack, this time, was not preceded by a warning from the Israeli army to evacuate the residents.

"An enemy plane attacked a house in the Al-Lakis neighborhood of the city," the National News Agency reported.
