The Princess Kate Middleton shared new information about her health, six months after revealing she had been diagnosed with cancer following routine abdominal surgery.
Namely, in her latest announcement, she revealed to the public that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment. The post is her most personal family video yet, showing her spending private time with Prince William and her children.
The incredibly candid and intimate video shows the princess, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis spending time together in Norfolk with a message delivered by Kate.
“As the summer comes to a close, I can't tell you what a relief it is to finally be done with my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly difficult for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and the unknown road," she writes alongside the video.
In March, the princess confirmed that precancerous cells were found after abdominal surgery and that she will have to undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy.
Speaking candidly about the impact the illness has had on her and her family, she said: "This time above all else, it has reminded me and William to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that many of us take for granted. taken for granted. To simply love and be loved…”
"My focus now is to do everything I can to stay cancer free. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is a long one and I must continue to take each day as it comes," Kate continues.
The video, which was filmed in Norfolk last month, shows the family enjoying the woods and the beach together, playing cards and having a picnic. Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, were also snapped playing games with the family.
Perhaps most strikingly, the video also shows incredibly loving moments with Kate and William hugging each other and William kissing his wife on the cheek.
