Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic, was the target of a drone attack this morning, according to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. the drone was intercepted over the barracks of the special police regiment.

"No one was seriously injured." Four security guards received minor injuries. The personnel on duty were in protected premises at the time of the attack," Kadyrov wrote, attributing the attack to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The explosion damaged the roof and shattered the windows, while the falling debris caused a fire that was quickly extinguished. Kadyrov described the incident as a "wretched action" and said it only strengthened Chechnya's resolve.

He threatened that the reserve force of 84.000 volunteers was "ready for mobilization", promising: "For these four wounded we will eliminate 400 Ukrainian soldiers".

The Russian Defense Ministry said 16 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight, including one in Chechnya, three in North Ossetia, four in the Kursk region and eight over Crimea.

This is not the first drone attack in Grozny. Last Wednesday, December 4, a Ukrainian drone hit the roof of the same special regiment barracks and gas station, injuring civilians.

Well-informed sources in the Ukrainian special services, who spoke anonymously to the Kyiv Post, confirmed the drone strike. However, they suggested that it was most likely carried out by the Dagestanis, targeting the University of Russian Special Forces, noting that it could be "a continuation of the previous conflict with Kadyrov's forces".
