Bosko Jaksic is one of the most famous names of the former Yugoslav journalism and reporter of "Politika". In the morning briefing with Jaksic, this time we talked about the new situation regarding the relations between the SOC and the MOC-OA.

- All media reports about the warming of relations between the two churches are extremely positive. Not only in church circles, ie among believers, but also in official politics. What is interesting is that it gives meaning to this event, it is seen how much church relations can be in favor of stability or instability. Unresolved relations, for more than half a century, have caused major political upheavals. Let us just remember what happened to Bishop Jovan Ohridski. Now the situation is the opposite. Now the door is open not only to the establishment of canonical unity between the two churches, but also to the good relations that have always existed between the two peoples, which have been ruined by politicians. "Now the Church does not give such an occasion for corruption and that is very good news and the speed with which it happened is unexpected," Jaksic said.

He mentions that 7 days have passed since the decision of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to recognize the canonical church under the name Ohrid Archbishopric to the Decision of the SOC Synod on the recognition of the status of full internal independence of the MOC, and only 3 days have passed since the SOC Synod and the joint liturgy. days. Politicians, including Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, are certainly responsible for all this.

- It is a fact that the world of politics certainly influences what is happening in church affairs, especially at the interstate level. There is information that in 2002 the two churches were very close to an agreement, but due to the insistence of the political government in Skopje, the Macedonian delegation withdrew and no agreement was reached. It is clear that politics has an impact on both sides. This time both churches in Belgrade and Skopje received a blessing from the secular authorities in both countries. At the level of the people, there is a sincere closeness that even politicians can not spoil, Jaksic is decisive.
