VIDEO INTERVIEW | Zikov: Despite the problematic opposition, I am confident that Macedonia will start the negotiations
"I am deeply confident that Macedonia will start the negotiations because we are practically at the beginning of the negotiations. With the first intergovernmental conference, we have already de facto started," said Ljupcho Zikov, journalist and finance director of MEPSO and founder of "Capital" newspaper in the morning program of "Sloboden Pechat".
He added that this matter should be taken seriously because this historical moment for the country has been going on for a long time.
"For example, in the last year and a half, we have spent a lot of loans. Instead of finishing this work a year and a half ago when the proposal and all other things were in place, as a society we showed a great "sloppiness". Responsibility has a name and a surname. "We had a problematic opposition this entire period, which definitely has a problem with ideological and political views on the future of the state," emphasized Zikov.
He concluded that Macedonia has a unique chance to calm its political climate, to silence the thirty-year Macedonian-Albanian feud. Now is a real chance to make a civil society.
"Let's try to establish programmatic coalitions in the state on the political scene. "I see the future of the country in that broad European coalition", Zykov concluded.
