VIDEO INTERVIEW | Blagojce Atanasovski: They were ancient Macedonians, and now some of them are Bulgarians
We see that the leaders or responsible persons in the Bulgarian clubs in Macedonia are members of VMRO-DPMNE and we learn from social networks that not so long ago, when the former leader of the party was in power, and the current leader was also in the leadership, they felt like ancient Macedonians , says political scientist Blagojce Atanasovski, who comments on the negative trend in Bulgarian-Macedonian relations.
In the Utrinski Pechat studio, he pointed out that the Bulgarian clubs in Macedonia are "paid with Russian rubles, conventrians in levs, with the aim of destabilizing the entire region.
- In Macedonia, Bulgarian clubs do not bother anyone, but the names given to the clubs in Ohrid and Bitola are absolutely aimed at causing adequate reactions. Hence, when you see the statements of the MEP Angel Djambaski, the leader of the ultra-nationalist party Prerodba, Kostadin Kostadinov, who every time they appear in front of the media, they do not forget to say that the Macedonians are an artificial creation of Tito and the Comintern. That we are reborn Bulgarians, that the language is a dialectical form of the Bulgarian language and that Macedonia is Bulgarian, and that is what they say from Skopje - pointed out Atanasovski.
He believes that in such conditions it is pointless to discuss whether Bulgarians should be included in the Constitution of Macedonia, because we received an answer to the question of whether this will be the last obstacle in our EU membership.
- I have nothing against our citizens who feel that Bulgarians should be part of the Constitution, and with that a clear distinction will be made between Bulgarians and Macedonians. Although I am unequivocally in favor of Macedonia's European path, I criticized the French proposal, and now I think that it makes no sense to discuss changing the Constitution - says Atanasovski.
He believes that he will get a place on the so-called "black list" which is allegedly being prepared in Sofia, because he is evaluated as a "Macedonian" in the Bulgarian government circles. He also believes that the leader of anti-Macedonianism in Bulgaria is President Rumen Radov, whom he believes is currently the most powerful politician in this country.
