Sympathizers of the Kosovo opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) threw cherries at the Prime Minister of Kosovo tonight Albin Kurti at the entrance to the Government building, where he came to present the state budget for the coming year.

The footage shows security shielding Kurti from the "rain", after which he entered the building through a side entrance. As stated by the SDP, the reason for the incident is the agreement that the prime minister reached with Serbia regarding license plates.

"Kurti is interested in yesterday's topic being forgotten as soon as possible, because behind the acceptance of some minor topic, such as the plates, a big issue was hidden, the acceptance of the Community of Serbian Municipalities. Those deadlines were supposed to feed the image of the resistance that failed. The Prime Minister was swallowing their every word. Just like in the cherry fable. The citizens of the state indiscriminately eat the damage. Mr. Prime Minister, the cherries are only for you," said the SDP.

The Head of European Diplomacy, Joseph Borrell, announced yesterday evening that an agreement had been reached regarding license plates in Kosovo, thereby avoiding the possibility of an escalation of hostilities between the government in Pristina and the Kosovo Serbs in the north.
