The Macedonian actor Igor Dzambazov often uses social media as a space to share beautiful, nostalgic stories.

He and his longtime associate and friend Igor Atanasovski, known as Guru Hare, last Saturday (November 2) held a concert in Toronto, to the great delight of the Macedonians living in Canada.

A few days later, Dzhambazov shared a video with the most emotional moment of this concert. Namely, 56 years later, the actor met with Darinka, the woman who took care of him and his sister Tanya in childhood.

"I found out that Aunt Darinka was in the audience, the woman who looked after me and my sister Tanya when we were little. She lived with us, took care of us, and in the absence of her parents, who were then at the top of their careers and were often away from home, because they traveled on tours and recordings, she tried to replace them. Aunt Darinka was trying to teach us to be good people and I hope she succeeded in that.

And when he finally found the love of his life, Uncle Djoko, he asked my mother and father for her hand in marriage, and they gave their blessing. After that they left for Canada. There they became successful people, famous in the Macedonian community.

At the concert, I called her on stage.

We hugged for all the 56 years we hadn't seen each other.

56 years old. Life, sometimes you really know how to be cruel…” he wrote in the description of the video.
