VIDEO: Croatian mountaineer hangs on a rock on Mount Velež, the rescue lasts for hours
A major rescue operation is underway for a valuable Croatian citizen who is hanging on the rock of Mount Velež, Dnevni avaz reports.
A large number of stations of the Forest Rescue Services (GSS) and seven members of the Prenj GSS are participating in the action.
The rescue is difficult due to the extremely inaccessible location and takes more than three hours.
"An accident occurred in the area of Mount Velež in the village of Vita Felale, in which a citizen of the Republic of Croatia was injured. A rescue operation is in progress", said the Cantonal Administration of CZ HNK.
