A total of two hours passed before the minor finally found someone to help her - a Hindu priest - after she was raped in the city of Huizhou by a driver who was arrested.

"It could not speak." Her eyes were swollen shut. I gave her paper and a pencil, but she couldn't write anything," said Raul Sharma, the man who finally responded to the 12-year-old boy's pleas for help.

According to the BBC, the 12-year-old girl was taken to a hospital where she underwent surgery.

After the video, which was captured by security cameras, was released, the police were ordered to donate blood for the 12-year-old girl, and the mayor of the area said that they will take care of her in every way.

- She is now our daughter as well as the daughter of the state and we will make sure that the perpetrator is punished the most severely, said this official.
