VIDEO: The group "Van Gogh" celebrated 35 years with a new video for the song "What a wild evening"

The band "Van Gogh" celebrated its 35th birthday with the re-release of the album "Sea without shores" from 2019, and for that occasion they delighted their fans with a video for the song "What a beautiful evening", which is also the fourth video from the current album. Directed by Dejan Senic, the video was shot in 2019 at the locations in the region near Bar in Montenegro, Skadar Lake, in an environment of untouched nature. Through the story of the cyclical nature of life, members of the Van Gogh group return to some places where they spent their summer holidays as children.

Through a subtle parallel, the connection between man and nature is shown, but also their similarity. Just as nature, a quiet and peaceful, though primarily powerful force, resists the ravages of time, remaining essentially the same, so does man in his life cycle, despite the currents and the "train speed" that life brings, in the end returns to the beginning. The video carefully depicts the passage of time with unassuming and artistic recordings, bearing its mark throughout the entire life cycle, which ends, or perhaps begins again, with finding the lost child within.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with Van Gogh's frontman Zvonimir Djukic - Gule

Director Dejan Senic, who shot the video for Van Gogh for the first time, says that the energy, mood and atmosphere of the shooting were phenomenal, and that it was a great pleasure to work with Gule, Srbo and Gaga:

"Since I live by the sea, the title of the album" Sea without shores "inspired me to think and make the video. I read earlier that леule and Srbo as children spent their summer holidays at sea throughout the swamp region and I wanted to revive their time spent there. "Of all the songs on the album, I chose 'What a wonderful evening' because I recognized in it a magical, coastal and at the same time timeless atmosphere."

As Senic adds, the filming of the children, Teona and Ana, was especially inspiring, who really had fun, so there was no need for acting, but, as he says, they just kept their real, carefree childish energy.

"Actress Branka Otasevic and the bassist of the band Van Gogh, Dragan Ivanovic, played a loving middle-aged couple and faithfully portrayed the given emotions. The couple in late life was introduced by Vidosava and Savo Baranin, who unfortunately did not leave us recently. "said Senic.

We remind you that with the concert in Trebinje on June 11 this year, the band started the concert tour after a year and a half break, due to the pandemic. With that, the summer regional concert activity was announced, which continues on June 25 with a concert in Skopje.
