Around London's Heathrow Airport, a large fire is spreading in the surrounding yards, after "a large detonation that looked like a bomb or an explosion", reports the London newspaper "Mirror".

The London newspaper added that a huge plume of smoke was rising into the sky and believed to be from a plane that had landed at Heathrow, while firefighters warned that the blaze had spread to the gardens of people's homes in the Feltham area.

In the meantime, passengers from the plane managed to record the fire and upload the video on social networks.

The fire engulfed trees, hedges, bushes, grass of numerous households on the road near Feltham.
Many who live near the incident reported hearing a loud explosion, and one eyewitness even said he heard an impact like "a bomb or some kind of explosion."

Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters are at the scene of the blaze in Hereford Road, and 44 calls have been received so far.

City police are advising citizens to avoid the area.
