VIDEO | A child fell into a well 10 meters deep in Prilep Galichani, firefighters complain that they do not have proper equipment
A child fell into a well 10 meters deep in the Prilep village of Galichani. His parents immediately called TPPE Prilep for help and after the quick intervention of the firefighters, it was pulled out of the well with minor injuries, announced Info Compass.
"Recently we have had several such accidents in rural areas. Here I would mention the case from 2 weeks ago when we secured the downhill race on Toptash. In 2 days we had 2 injuries, one with a broken jaw, and the other with bruises on the vertebrae. We even had to transport the face to the position in which we acquired it, and that was in a supine position on the abdomen. "So we transported it because it was on the high hills of the Tent Stone." said Darko Nedanoski, firefighter.
The fire department in Prilep has only 3 such sets which unfortunately are not certified and are not used. Firefighters are looking for better working conditions.
"Ready as a department and as TPPE Prilep we have the capacity, but we do not have enough equipment. We use outdated equipment, but we hope that this will be corrected in the future. An example of this activity are the ropes that are used, they have the possibility for a certain number of uses, and not constantly, the same can not be used forever. And now this equipment you see is private. We have an official one but it is not certified. "Here is an appeal to the authorities for the equipment we have to be certified, for someone to claim that it is correct so that unpleasant events do not happen." says Robe Mitreski, commander.
