More than 30 firefighters who intervened with seven vehicles in almost half an hour extinguished the fire that broke out tonight in the modular hospital in Tetovo.

As stated by the deputy commander of the Tetovo fire brigade, Saso Trajcevski, the flames were huge, and victims were taken out of the hospital, but this is expected to be officially confirmed.

- At 21:30 pm, it was reported that the modular hospital in the Medical Center - Tetovo was on fire. The teams arrived on the spot in three or four minutes with about seven vehicles and over 21 firefighters are participating from both sides. When the crews arrived, everything was on fire. It is internal, not external. Everything we used at 30:21 pm localized the fire. At 45:XNUMX pm he was completely liquidated. While the fire was being extinguished, the flames were huge, the modular hospital was all made of plastic, and victims were being evacuated. We can not know the number, we still do not have records to see how many they are, what they are. I think there is another victim sitting there, she has been checked, she is probably dead. But there are services that are working on it and need to determine what it is and how. We can not provide information about that. The services will sort it out, said Trajcevski.

According to him, the fire was extinguished immediately, and all available means were used.

The mayor of Tetovo, Teuta Arifi, previously said that there was no information on the number of injured and possible victims.

- I am informed that the fire broke out very quickly and spread quickly. I have no information about possible victims, we will certainly be officially informed about that. I absolutely regret that these are sick people who have been here for treatment. Information from police and the hospital is still pending, Arifi said.

An inspection is underway to determine the cause of the fire.

The Minister of Health Venko Filipce announced on Twitter that after the information about the fire he went to Tetovo.
