A new factory of "Gersheimer", which cooperates with pharmaceutical giants such as Pfizer, is opening a new factory in TIRZ Skopje 2 in which it will invest over 126 million euros, which represents a record amount of investment since the establishment of the Technological-Industrial Development Zones (TIRZ), says Jovan Despotovski, the director of TIDZ, behind Morning briefing. He adds that this investor will pay twice the average salary, certainly for people with certain skills. With this, Germany becomes the largest investor in the industrial zones in Macedonia.

- This is a development direction that has not been practiced before. We are now bringing in investors who will create more value and hence have opportunities to pay higher salaries to employees. Besides, we are talking about investors who will make a large number of jobs, says Despotovski.

Despotovski adds that investors are raising the question of labor availability, and the Open Balkans can help here. Europe operates on the principle of mobility. "Why wouldn't someone work in the neighboring city if there are conditions and infrastructure for travel and it is paid for," Despotovski commented.
