The documentary show "Dirty Blood" of the "Research Reporter's Laboratory", which conducted research on the operation of the clinical hospital "Zhan Mitrev" and Dr. Zhan Mitrev, stirred up the Macedonian public.

Sashka Cvetkovska, one of the journalists who investigated this case, tonight was a guest on the show "Ten Minutes" on television 21 and shared that there are over a hundred reports, sent only by citizens from Macedonia and Kosovo who in turn shared the same, identical and similar experiences.

"Although most of the reports refer to this clinic, I must mention that reports are also received for other private as well as state clinics," shared the journalist.

She says their job as journalists is to arm institutions with information that will help them effectively prosecute crime and corruption.

"Citizens feel so powerless, trust has been so lost that I understand that the expectation is that we will be able to deliver that justice ourselves, but we cannot do it alone. Together with the citizens, we can absolutely create pressure on the institutions", says Cvetkovska.

The journalist says that the research began more than 22 months ago, that is, before the pandemic, with reports of malpractices for the Fund for citizens who used state-sponsored operations at the "Zhan Mitrev" clinic.

"We faced a terrible silence from the then leadership from the Health Fund, from the Ministry of Health. It lasted a long time, then the pandemic started and then various reports started arriving," she said.

Cvetkovska says that although the "Investigative Reporter's Laboratory" discovered many stories, no one did anything.

"There are frequent accusations of why you don't write about this one, and why about that one, these stories were international, there were reactions all over the world," says Cvetkovska, who adds that there is never anything in Macedonia.

According to her, this project is successful because the victims agreed to speak.
