VIDEO: Baldwin now claims he did not pull the trigger
Actor Alec Baldwin told George Stefanopoulos in an interview from ABC News that he "has no idea" how the ammunition was found on the set of the movie "Growth" and that "he did not pull the trigger" on the gun from which the director of photography was killed and the director was wounded.
I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger. "Never," Baldwin said in an interview on Thursday.
On Oct. 21, Baldwin was holding a revolver during a rehearsal for the filming of "Rust" at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in New Mexico, when he fired a shotgun, killing cameraman Halina Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.
Baldwin, who also produces the film, talks in an interview about what happened on the fateful day and claims that he had no reason to suspect that there was ammunition in the gun.
I remember it and wonder what I could have done. She was loved and respected by everyone who worked with her. And now it's hard for me to understand that she's gone. "It does not seem real to me."
