With the traditional firing of platoons, display of the latest military equipment, demonstration exercises and a concert by the military orchestra and musical stars, the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia together with the citizens celebrated the 30th anniversary tonight at the Military Stadium in Skopje. The manifestation was attended by the Minister of Defense, Slavjanka Petrovska, the chief of the General Staff, general - lieutenant colonel Vasko Gjurcinovski, the US Ambassador to the country, Kate Marie Burns, as well as other guests.

The event organized under the motto "30 years of security, stability, trust" showcased the latest and most sophisticated equipment of the Army, including the new JLTV Oshkosh armored personnel carriers, the skills of army specialists, as well as a presentation of an exercise with army dogs.

"This event is designed as a way to celebrate Army Day, which is actually tomorrow, but this is a day especially for citizens. That is why it was made here at the Military Stadium because it is easily accessible and all citizens can come. Most of the equipment owned by our Army is on display," stated the Minister of Defense, Slavjanka Petrovska, in tonight's statement to the media.

He added that it is a matter of modern sophisticated equipment, and that a total of six vehicles have been delivered so far.

"They are part of the big plans for the modernization of our Army. These are light armored vehicles that are an integral part of the armament of our Army," said Petrovska.

She informed that by the end of this year, another 27 such vehicles will arrive, and by 2028 they should all be delivered, which will complete the total number of 96 vehicles.

The presentation of military equipment and military skills was followed by a concert by the Military Orchestra as well as a rich music program where Kiki, Pere, Dats and Alexander, Last Expedition, DJ Babura Jr. performed. and Eureka Dance Studio.
