These attacks come at a time when the plans of the newly elected American president Donald Trump to end the war in Ukraine are widely discussed and announced.
The world public is already widely analyzing and speculating about how Trump will fulfill his pre-election promise, that when he becomes president, he will stop the war in Ukraine within 24 hours.
His plan, according to world analysts and media, includes the freezing of the current front line, that is, over a thousand kilometers of combat line, which practically cuts off 20 percent of the internationally recognized territory of Ukraine, which goes under Russian sovereignty, and the deployment of peacekeeping forces.
It remains to be seen whose troops would be deployed on this line, especially since it is unacceptable for Moscow that they are soldiers from the countries involved in this conflict. So, not a single NATO member state, but also without the presence of UN peacekeepers.
On the other hand, it is not yet known how well all these plans suit Moscow, which has not commented on the allegations about Trump's plan.
An additional problem is the fact that until January 20 of next year, the American president will still be Biden, whose administration has already allowed an additional 6 billion in military aid to Kiev, but it is not excluded that he may lift the ban on Ukraine using American ballistic missiles from long range, with which he will be able to shoot deep into the territory of Russia.
If all this happens, the outgoing US administration may further complicate the implementation of Trump's peace plan for Ukraine.
It also remains to be seen what Moscow's plans are for the Black Sea city of Odessa, which is said to have a majority Russian population and is geostrategically important to Russia's Black Sea fleet and more effective defense of the annexed Crimean peninsula.
