The authorities of the Russian republic of Bashkortostan said that Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery located in this area. A Ukrainian drone struck an oil refinery in the city of Ufa in the Russian republic of Bashkortostan at the foot of the Urals, a mountain range that separates Europe and Asia.

The governor of this republic, Radii Khabirov, announced that three Ukrainian drones fell in the area of the oil refinery, with one of them falling on the factory itself, writes kyivindependent.com.

"The drone caused minimal damage and there were no casualties," said Habirov.

The Ukrainian site states that it cannot yet confirm these claims by the Russian official because the authorities in Kiev have not commented on this attack.

This incident is the second case since the beginning of the Russian invasion, when Ukrainian drones target objects in Bashkortostan, which is located about 1.500 kilometers from the border with Ukraine deep inside Russian territory.

In May of this year, according to the Kyiv Independent, a long-range Ukrainian drone attacked the Gazprom Neftekhim oil refinery in the city of Salavat in the same republic.

Attacks deep inside Russian territory could be a prelude to the start of a series of Ukrainian strikes against targets deep inside Russian territory.

The USA and the West have announced that they will lift the ban on the use of Western weapons by the Ukrainians, who until now were not allowed to use Western military aid for attacks on Russian territory.

But after it was officially determined that 12 North Korean soldiers from the Russian side were preparing to attack Ukraine, the United States and its allies announced that they would lift restrictions on the use of long-range missiles, that is, the Ukrainian army would be able to shoot deep into the Russian territory.

If this happens, many fear what Moscow's response will be, which does not rule out retaliatory attacks on other targets outside Ukraine.
