While the government tries to convince the public that it has won and put an end to the protests, students say that Vucic's government has used the last card it had.
They maintain that their demands have not been met and that the protests will end when they decide.
On Saturday, students supported by citizens demonstrated, managing to gather over 100 people on the streets, a figure acknowledged by Vučić himself.
It is more than clear that when over 100 dissatisfied citizens gather around a government to protest, it represents a clear alarm for things to change, something that Vucic himself has publicly acknowledged.
What the students, inspired by the great tragedy in Novi Sad, managed to do is persist in their efforts to protest and demand a better society for more than 4 months.
The crowning achievement of course, after the protests in Novi Sad, Niš and Kragujevac, was the large and historic rally in Belgrade. What should be particularly emphasized is that the protests, although assessed as a major security risk, nevertheless, despite several incidents.
When the students themselves realized that there was an attempt to infiltrate the protests by radical groups, they publicly withdrew, announcing that they could not control the protest.
The protests themselves, apart from the protest marches, were somewhat dispersed, which was attributed to the repressive measures of the Vucic government, which is accused of using some methods that are prohibited, emphasizing the famous sound cannon, the performances of which are not known to the general public.
On the other hand, Vučić and the Serbian police managed to secure the protest and, with minor incidents, control the security situation in Belgrade and Serbia.
The question arises, what next?
What will be the students' next steps? Will they continue the protests or will Vučić's announcement that everything will end on Sunday, March 15, come true?
Students announce that the protests, which are labeled with the term "pumping", will continue, and as they announce, much more strongly than they have been in recent months.
They announce that they will continue the blockades. There is no return to the faculties in terms of continuing the academic year until their demands are met.
What their plans and future activities are is currently unknown. There are certain expectations in the public that the students will clearly and unequivocally come out in public with a condemnation of the President of Serbia and support for the formation of an expert government that would fulfill their demands.
For now, they are publicly saying that their plenums have not declared themselves on this, that they have no position on this issue, and that they are continuing with non-violent protests.
