The entry of the British Destroyer into Russian territorial waters could put Britain on Russia's list of enemy states. These are the threats coming from certain Russian officials after yesterday's incident caused by the destroyer class "HMS" Defender of the British Navy that crossed the state border of the Russian Federation moving along the northwestern part of the Black Sea and entered 3 km in Russian territorial waters.

The Russian Black Sea Fleet, along with the Russian Navy Border Service, fired two warning missiles to prevent a British destroyer from violating Russia's state border. Earlier, Moscow called on the United States and NATO to suspend military operations in the Black Sea and work together to maintain stability.

According to Russian reports, the British destroyer received a warning that weapons would be used if it violated the borders of the Russian Federation. However, the warship did not respond to the warning, after which the border ship of the Russian fleet fired two warning shots and the Russian Air Force was activated, which put into operation the Su-24 aircraft that carried out a warning bombing in the right movement of the British destroyer.

Britain has denied that Russia fired at their ship in the Black Sea, saying the incident was part of a previously announced military exercise. near the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014. London said it was most likely a military exercise by the Russian navy, which was carrying out combat shooting in the Black Sea at the time.

"No shots were fired at HMS Defender and we do not acknowledge allegations that bombs were dropped on its route." said in a statement from the British Foreign Office.

Moscow annexed Crimea in 2014 and militarily and politically supports pro-Russian separatists in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donbas. Western countries have imposed sanctions on Russia over its annexation of Crimea, the arrest and detention of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, but also over election interference and cyber-attacks on US infrastructure.
