Artan Grubi announced through social networks that he is retiring from public life and politics, saying that he is "clean as a tear", even though he was blacklisted in the United States a few days ago on suspicion of involvement in corruption.

The former vice prime minister wrote in the post that his entire public life was uncompromisingly dedicated to the equality of the Albanians in North Macedonia, to peace in the region, to full integration into NATO, to membership in the EU, as well as to a strategic partnership with the USA.

- There is no more American party in Macedonia than DUI, and here I am thinking of Artan Grubi in the foreground. Therefore, his withdrawal is not a surprise. As a matter of fact, not so long ago the proposal arrived from DUI that people from the blacklists of foreign countries should be automatically removed from politics, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, also spoke publicly about this. Otherwise, the DUI believes that Grubi is innocent, but probably no one will object to his departure from politics, which comes at a very inconvenient moment, when the party is fighting for its survival on the political scene - says the journalist of Sloboden Pechat, Srdjan Ivanovic .
