Dinamo Zagreb players were eliminated from the Croatian Cup after the 1: 3 defeat by Rijeka at home, after which the coach of the "blues", Damir Krznar, resigned after the match in an interview with the club's television.

This was followed by an announcement by Dinamo Zagreb, who is also expecting a derby match with Hajduk.

"After the quarterfinal match in the Croatian Cup against Rijeka, coach Damir Krznar resigned as the head coach of the first team of Dinamo Zagreb. The club will inform the public about the next moves in a timely manner. "We thank coach Krznar for the success of his tenure on the bench at Dinamo, for the fantastic victory against Tottenham, for the historic quarter-final in the Europa League, for winning the double crown and for securing the European spring this season," Dinamo Zagreb said.

Until the end of the season, the team is expected to be led by the head of the youth academy of Dinamo Zagreb, Zeljko Kopic. It is speculated that from next season the team should be taken over by Robert Prosinecki.

The Macedonian national team players Arian Ademi and Stefan Ristovski also play for Dinamo Zagreb.
