"Artificial intelligence is a reality," said Denmark's prime minister, who used ChatGPT to write part of her speech

The Prime Minister of Denmark Matt Fredericksen used the chatbot "ChatGPT" to write the opening part of his speech, which he gave in the parliament.

The social democrat said she wanted to highlight the importance of artificial intelligence, which is already visible nowadays. She made her speech today during the debates at the end of the Danish parliamentary year.

"What artificial intelligence is capable of is both impressive and terrifying," Frederiksen said. "In just a few seconds, he can write a speech, solve a university assignment or prepare a report and do it so convincingly that few would believe that a robot and not a human is behind it," she pointed out.

"Artificial intelligence is no longer the future. That is the reality," said Frederiksen. The Danish prime minister predicts that artificial intelligence will "change our society to an extent that we simply don't understand yet."
