Verstappen achieved his 40th victory in Formula 1 in Spain

The current world champion in Formula 1, Max Verstappen win the race for The Grand Prix of Spain in front of the Mercedes drivers, Lewis Hamilton и George Russell.

With 40 wins in his career, third in Barcelona, ​​Verstappen leaves one win behind the legendary Ayrton Senna who recorded 41 triumphs. On that eternal list, Lewis Hamilton has the most victories (103), followed by Michael Schumacher (91), Sebastian Vettel (53) and Allan Prost (51).

The Dutchman was in first place in Catalonia from the start to the end of the race and won in dominant fashion – with an advantage of over 20 seconds over the second-placed Hamilton.

Behind Russell, the second driver of Real Bull, Sergio Perez, finished the race, and after him Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso crossed the finish line. Charles Leclerc had a disappointing race and ended up in 11th position.

In the general classification after seven races, Verstappen leads with 170 points, Perez is second with 117 points, while Alonso is third with 99 points.

The F1 championship continues on June 18 with the race for Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal.
