Verstappen wins the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, triumphed at The Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna in Imola, Italy, the seventh race of this year's Formula 1 championship.

The Dutchman recorded his third victory at the "Enzo and Dino Ferrari" circuit in Imola and also his fifth of the season, for 59 triumphs in his career.

The closest to Verstappen was Lando Norris in the McLaren, who provided drama at the finish of the race, only to be separated by a second in the end. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc was on the third step of the podium.

Verstappen now leads the drivers' overall standings with 161 points, Leclerc is second with 113, and Perez is third with 107.

The next F1 will be raced next weekend for the Monaco Grand Prix on the streets of Monte Carlo.
