Britain will deploy its Typhoon fighter jets to Poland

Britain is deploying RAF Typhoon fighters to Poland to help defend the country against the threat of Russian aggression, British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps said during a speech at the Conservative Party conference in Manchester.

In his speech at the conference, Shapps talked about the way Britain supports NATO.

The defense minister said that as he spoke, Typhoon fighter jets were landing in Poland.

According to the BBC, Shapps said the two British fighter jets were to protect Poland, where parliamentary elections are due to take place soon, from Russian interference. He also said that under the leadership of Rishi Sunak, the Conservative Party was putting Britain at the heart of NATO.
