An evening of music documentaries about Macedonian bands at "Skopje Cinema City"

The eighth edition of the "Skopje Cinema City" film festival will close with the retrospective of music documentaries by the Macedonian director Jane Altiparmakov on July 4 and with the films "Sisters with Transistors" and "Mobi: Mobidok" on July 5.

The festival, which opened with an exhibition of Nick Cave photographs by rock photographer Nemanja Djordjevic (Serbia) and the film Nick Cave: 20.000 Days on Earth, paid tribute to Cave, who is the focus artist of the festival.

On July 4, within the program of Macedonian authors and films, the festival will show a retrospective of films by Jane Altiparmakov: "Ghetto 103", "Faultin called", "Badmintons" and "The Hip Overdrive". Films from Altiparmakov's personal archive will be shown.

The festival closes with the two electronic music films on July 5. Transistor Sisters tells the history of electronic music, but through the female composers whose achievements were essential to the genre. The film is narrated by Laurie Anderson. The festival ends with a film about Moby, where a lucid portrait is given of this artist and his ups and downs in a rich career.

The festival "Skopje Cinema City" is organized by the association "Nomad-Art" - Skopje. The author of the design of the promotional materials is Diana Dimitrievska. The program of the festival is supported by the Film Agency, the Ministry of Culture, the Cinematheque of North Macedonia, the Cultural and Information Center (KIC), the PR agency "Navigators" and "Spona" - the center for the culture of the Serbs in Macedonia.
