It burns in your chest, not your heart?

Burning and chest pain, bloating, belching, nausea, and stomach upset are all symptoms of gingivitis, which affects between 20 and 40 percent of the western population. If this is the first time you have encountered jingles, you may be surprised to learn that many symptoms of heartburn and chest pain are replaced by a heart attack. It can occur mildly in some people, but affects some on a daily basis. Then it is usually a serious illness and it is necessary to seek medical help.

It occurs when stomach acid rises from the stomach into the esophagus, causing pain and burning. The muscle, called the esophageal sphincter, mainly prevents stomach acid from entering it. In gingivitis, acid enters the esophagus, a condition called reflux.

Choosing the right foods is extremely important for those who suffer from a sensitive stomach. Foods are thought to be responsible for the appearance of gingivitis and stomach acid in as many as 92 percent of cases. Certain foods can act as stimulants for the appearance of gingivitis, so it is recommended to avoid them. These are citrus fruits, fatty and spicy foods, chocolate, milk, carbonated and alcoholic beverages, caffeine.

In addition to food, medications can stimulate or intensify gingivitis, such as aspirin, antibiotics, antidepressants, and sedatives.

If we look at lifestyle habits, obese people, those who consume large meals wear too tight clothes and smokers are more prone to junk.

How to help yourself

To lighten the heartburn, put a teaspoon of freshly grated ginger in a glass of boiling water. Strain after 10 minutes and drink. Ginger will loosen the walls of the esophagus, which will prevent the acid from rising.

You can also make anti-gum tea from marshmallow root, whose mucus protects the esophagus from stomach acid. One teaspoon of root per cup of boiling water is enough, and up to four cups a day are recommended. You can make a similar tea from smooth elm.

It is also wise to increase your probiotic intake. Wise milk and the choice of kefir can work wonders, according to experts, who at the same time advise greater intake of the sun - vitamin D and sea salt.

A favorite "home" remedy for gingivitis involves dissolving a tablespoon of baking soda in half a glass of water. It is an alkaline substance that can neutralize the acid. But you should not overdo the use of baking soda.

If you have pure aloe vera juice at home, consume it because it can also soothe gingivitis and also works great for stomach ulcers.

Gastroesophageal reflux

If gingivitis bothers you more than twice a week, it may be gastroesophageal reflux. Gastroesophageal reflux can lead to damage to the esophagus and increase the risk of developing cancer in adults. The problem is caused by a weakness in the muscle ring at the junction of the esophagus and stomach. To check the appearance of the esophagus and stomach, it is necessary to perform a gastroscopy, and then drugs can be prescribed that reduce the secretion of gastric acid and thus significantly alleviate the problems or disappear completely.
