As is already known, Vardar handball club in the new season of EHF European League will play in the group stage, namely in group F.

One opponent of the Skopje "red-blacks" was already known from before. Porto from Portugal, and on Saturday they found out the other two opponents who secured a place through the qualifiers.

The German one Melsungen defeated Norwegian Elverum for the second time, this time with 36:31. In the first match, Melsungen won 28:23.

Icelandic Valur was defeated 32:24 in the second leg against Vinkovci from Croatia, but managed to defend the advantage from the first match of "plus nine" (34:25).

In the new European League season, the teams are divided into eight groups, and the matches will be played from October 8 to November 26. The first two teams from each group will secure placement in the playoffs.

According to the announcements, Vardar will host Valur in the first round.
