"Although it is not officially open yet, the Macedonian cultural club "Nikola Vaptsarov" in Blagoevgrad was vandalized yesterday by unknown perpetrators, announced the association NovAsnom, adding that according to information from the organizations of Macedonians in Bulgaria, yesterday the letter M was removed from the name of the premises of the unopened club.

"This act of vandalism is an attack on the inter-ethnic tolerance in European Bulgaria, whose government does not condemn such acts of inter-ethnic intolerance, and by this very fact it is on the side of the perpetrators of this vandal act. On the other hand, our government calmly and meekly remains silent on the aggressive ethnic intolerance manifested against the Macedonians in Bulgaria, effectively implementing the Bulgarian Agreement, point 11 paragraph 5 thereof. With that, the government of the country whose name Severna we hate, is on the side of those who are fueling ethnic intolerance in Bulgaria," reacts from NovAsnom.

The association believes that "nurturing the ties with our relatives and friends from Pirin Macedonia, as well as helping them, is the only solution in conditions when our identity is attacked on all grounds by the Republic of Bulgaria".
