Vaccine is not a condition, ковиokovi може can defend the Wimbledon title
The first tennis player in the world Novak Djokovic will be allowed to defend this year's title Wimbledon Grand Slam in London despite not being vaccinated against the coronavirus.
The tournament's CEO, Sally Bolton "Although all players are encouraged to be vaccinated, this will not be a condition for participating in the third Grand Slam of the season," he said today.
The Serbian tennis ace was deported from Australia in January because he was not vaccinated and did not get the right to play in Melbourne. For the same reason he did not participate in the Masters in Indian Wells and Miami.
Djokovic and the Swiss Roger Federer have 20 Grand Slam titles each, one less than the Spanish record holder Rafael Nadal.
