A terrible night for the family of Vanja Gjorchevska, the mother says that her daughter is missing from the camera footage
Yesterday at 7:20 in the morning, 14-year-old Vanja Gjorchevska, a student at "Johan Heinrich Pestalozzi" Elementary School, left home and went to class. But on the way to school, all trace of her is lost.
Vanya was not a victim of bullying. We had no broken family relations and our family has no enemies. We were at the Beko police station all night and all the police units are fully engaged and that's why I feel guilty that they criticize the police.
Believe me, they are doing it, but my daughter is gone. I found out that she was missing when the class teacher told me that she did not arrive at school in the morning, because it is not usual for her not to come because when a child is sick we write in the group. They usually go to school with their sister, but she missed the first class and stayed home, and Vanya went to school alone.
All options are considered by the police, there is no direction that is not considered and investigated. The room was searched, all messages were reviewed, I gave them the computer, we found nothing.
Relatives got involved, parents of classmates, cameras looked at each other, but they don't have a wider range and only see close to businesses. She is nowhere to be found, on any footage. All the parents agree, they even say let's take our close friends to the station, those who knew her.
There is no chance of bullying, my daughter's environment is very complex. My younger sister is now telling me, "mom, they are pasting pictures of Vanja in Center na banderi", through tears and clearly upset and in complete shock and disbelief, the mother of 14-year-old Vanja Gjorchevska, Zorica, told the "Sloboden Pechat".
Vanya wore black pants with side pockets, a light blue sweater, a black short winter jacket and white Nike sneakers with a brown stripe on the sole. She was last seen in Debar Maalo on the way to "Pestaloci".
If you have any information, call the nearest police station.
The Ministry of the Interior told "Sloboden Pechat" that today they continue with intensive activities to find the girl. More than 24 hours have passed since she disappeared. And concerned citizens are looking for it on their own initiative. The Ministry of the Interior investigated several people who had contact with Vanja.
The police appeals not to spread misinformation. To resolve the case and find the person immediately after receiving the report, the full capacities of SVR Skopje are involved at the highest level. The investigation took place intensively during the night, but without an epilogue.
The public is extremely disturbed by the event considering that it is a missing child in one of the busiest central parts of Skopje.
The first children's embassy "Megjashi" expresses hope that Vanya will be found as soon as possible. From there they say that when it comes to missing children, everyone who might know their places of residence and movement should be contacted as a matter of urgency, the police should undertake round-the-clock action and search, an early warning and alarm system should be established and the public should be involved. .
"If there are no results from such a coordinated action, Interpol and Europol should be immediately involved," said Medgjasi.
