Horror near Zurich – a pensioner of Croatian origin killed his wife and daughter

Swiss police have arrested a 72-year-old man, originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivan T., on suspicion of murdering his wife (68) and daughter (49), writes "Index".

Early yesterday morning, residents of Billach, a town near Zurich, called an ambulance for a woman who was bleeding and crying for help from the balcony of her family home.

Swiss media reported that local prosecutors had requested custody for the pensioner. Neighbors said the scenes were horrific.

"There was screaming and crying. Half an hour later, the police took him away. My daughter looked towards that house at six o'clock, everything was normal. At seven she heard screams and wailing. Half an hour later, she saw the police take him away in handcuffs," a neighbor told Swiss media.

The Zurich cantonal police say it was most likely a family dispute that ended tragically.

"You could see a lot of blood through the door. We were traumatized. The scenes were horrific," the neighbor recounted.
