MORNING BRIEFING Serafimovski: The prices of quality apartments are the same as those of low quality ones
Estimates that it will appear in construction these days have appeared trend of galloping prices per square meter of housing. According to some projections, it is possible that the price of a square meter of housing in Skopje will rise to 2000 euros.
This was discussed at the Utrinski briefing with Andreja Serafimovski, part of the management team of the construction company "Granit" and part of the Construction Association at the Chamber of Commerce.
- The increase in the price of apartments is a consequence of the conditions that resulted from the covid pandemic, the increase in the price of labor, construction materials, as well as the moratorium on construction introduced by some municipalities in recent years, says Serafimovski for Utrinski briefing.
According to him, the trend of price growth depends on the purchasing power, and in our country the citizens do not have much purchasing power, so it is expected that this trend will stop. Serafimovski comments that a bigger problem than the price of the apartments is that the quality and poor quality construction in the same location has the same price.
- Companies that build quality, for example in Centar, are losing money because the price of their product is the same as a low quality product in the same location, says Serafimovski.
He adds that we are actually buying apartments out of necessity, for example to be close to the workplace, and not according to our lifestyle, so that is one of the factors in the price movement, given that a large part of the business activities take place in the capital. and in the Center of Skopje.
