Election of constitutional judges will be found tomorrow or the day after tomorrow at the latest Elections and Appointments Commission, confirmed for "Free Press" the chairwoman of the Commission Marija Georgievska after yesterday at the invitation of the President of the Constitutional Court Dobrila Kacarska for the blockade of the election of four constitutional judges the state leadership met - The Head of State Stevo Pendarovski, the Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski and the Speaker of the Assembly Talat Xhaferi.

Greorgievska says that the continuation of the session of the Commission for selection of judges was delayed due to the obligations of members of the Commission.

-Due to the obligations of the members of the Commission abroad and due to the scheduled plenary and sessions of the commissions, the continuation of the session for election of constitutional judges was not scheduled. I will schedule the session tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. At the previous session, nine proposals for constitutional judges were submitted, three by the majority and six by the opposition. The biographies of the proposed candidates have been submitted to the MPs and I expect that the debate will be constructive - says Georgievska.

When asked why the president of the court was allowed to intervene with the state leadership for the election of judges, when it is the job of the MPs, ie the Assembly, Georgievska said:

- As I managed to see at the meeting, additional activities and initiative of the Constitutional Court were discussed and the delay in the election of constitutional judges was mentioned. I hope that the constitutional judges will be elected as soon as possible.

Kacarska said after the meeting with the state leadership that if the Constitutional Court is not completed by the end of the year, then the state is threatened by a constitutional crisis.

The Constitutional Court lacks four judges and now operates with only five, which is on the verge of the required quorum for holding sessions. Due to this situation, decisions can not be made on some cases because there is no majority of votes.

Proposals for constitutional judges are Ljubomir Jovevski, Savo Klimovski, Tatjana Vasic, Fatmir Skender, Rodna Zivkovska, Branko Sekulovski, Todor Vitlarov, Vesna Jovanovska and Vojislav Dimovski.
