At today's session, the Government adopted the amendments to the Law on Teachers and Professional Associates in Primary and Secondary Schools and the amendments to the Law on Textbooks.
As stated in the announcement from the Government, the amendments to the Law on Teachers and Professional Associates in primary and secondary schools guarantee stability of the employment of teachers, improve opportunities for professional and career development and introduce new opportunities for professional associates.
While, through the amendments to the Law on Textbooks and other teaching and didactic materials in primary and secondary education, it is expected to improve the quality of textbooks in primary and secondary education. Transparency of textbook procurement procedures is ensured, content control mechanisms are set up to prevent the entry of discriminatory content, and digitalization and access to textbooks for the visually impaired are provided.
The changes were determined at the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Science.
