A new case of the Indian strain of a patient being treated in Veles was detected in Macedonia yesterday. He has a mild clinical picture. Minister Filipce confirmed that examinations are being performed for four more patients.

"Another case has been detected, which is being treated in Veles, and it has a mild clinical picture and we are waiting for results for four patients, only one is in a more severe picture on a respiratory machine, the others with a stable clinical picturea. Test screening excludes the British variant. Which means that wherever screening shows that it is not a British variant, a test is done to determine if it is an Indian strain.

We need to have more organized communication in order to take a common position. There would be a total of eight. The cases are not related to each other. "What we are following now is now coming out with well-founded publications about this strain." said Filipce who added that the four patients being examined were not related to the case in Veles.
