The Hungarian company "Lugos Renewables" will soon take ownership of the Trebinje 1 solar power plant, after the BiH Competition Council gave the green light for this acquisition, Klix.ba reported.

The notice of concentration was submitted at the beginning of last year by the economic entities Mješoviti Holding Elektroprivreda RS, Matichna kompanija a.d. Trebinje and Lugos Renewables Karlatolt Felelosegu Tarsasag Republic of Hungary.

With the application, the Hungarian company acquires a majority share in the share capital of the business entity Solar Photovoltaic Plant Trebinje 1. The Competition Council approved this acquisition at the end of last year, and the decision was made yesterday in the Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This solar plant, which is to be built in the vicinity of Trebinje, is worth more than 50 million euros and will be the largest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The media previously reported that Hungarians will own 70 percent of the shares in the company "Solarna Elektrana Trebinje 1", as well as the concession, which was initially awarded to "Electroprivreda RS", writes the Business Info portal.
