An artistic duel between physical space and virtual reality at Laze Tripkov's exhibition

The sixth solo exhibition of Laze Tripkov entitled "Reflections of the new reality" addresses the priority problems of the new era. Being surrounded by information related to the pandemic and the covid-19 virus has forced us all to limit our social needs, and our everyday life is slowly becoming "digital".

During the quarantine in April 2020, Tripkov started his visual project entitled "Isolation Mood - Creative Reflections", which attracted serious attention at home and beyond. All the posters or visual reflections, which have been on display since October 19 in the gallery space of "Mala Stanista", are a personal reflection and a reflection of personal experiences.

Landscapes dominate, and there are also many collages and collage expressions, which aim to manifest Tripkov's attitude towards isolation and additionally help in the articulation of his personal development as a visual artist.

– Through this exhibition/project I will try to initiate a duel between the art in the gallery (gallery as physical space) and the gallery in virtual reality (virtual gallery space). The visitor has a direct opportunity to manage the content of the works in addition to the displayed posters. Through a specially created platform for virtual reality, with the help of viar technology, everyone will be able to dive into my visual reflections, shape and manage the content, modify it, using the existing forms from the posters - Tripkov points out.

The exhibition has a transmedia character that encourages technological and direct interaction between the visitor and the author, through his works, and intensified through the viar technology.

The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Culture and several private companies and individuals. The curator of the project is Ana Frangovska, and the associate for viar technology is Trajko Mitrevski.

The author Laze Tripkov is an associate professor at the Faculty of Art and Design at the International Balkan University in Skopje. He is the founder of "Plakart" and "Skopje Poster Festival".
