Ukrainian court ruled and ordered arrest of the former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych, accusing him of betrayal.

Yanukovych was President of Ukraine from February 2010 to February 2014, after which he fled to Russia, with which he worked closely and at the time when he was the first man of Ukraine.

Earlier, Yanukovych was sentenced to 13 years in prison for treason for working closely with Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he called on the Russian army and police to restore order in Ukraine.

This time he is accused of treason because of the agreement he signed in 2010, which was linked to the extension of Russian control over Crimea. The agreement is known as the Kharkiv Pact, which allowed Russia to maintain its Black Sea Fleet in the Crimean port of Sevastopol. It was the Black Sea Fleet that carried out part of the Russian invasion of Ukraine from the end of February until today.
