Ukrainian politicians testified about the war in front of Tetovo students, and Nenad Canak from Serbia came with them

The forum "Testimonies from Ukraine" was held today in Tetovo in the organization of the University of Southeast Europe, and representatives from the local government of the Kyiv region and the city of Irpin participated in it.

In front of Tetovo students spoke Tetiana Shcherbak, Deputy Governor of Kyiv Oblast, Trohim Ivanov, deputy mayor of Vyšehgorod, Violeta Dvornikova, advisor to the mayor of Irpin and as the initiator, Nenad Canak, politician and former president of the Social Democratic League of Vojvodina from Serbia.

"Representatives of the Ukrainian delegation, for the students and guests, through videos, photos and testimonies, managed to present to the students, employees, and the general public a more realistic picture of what is actually happening in Ukraine. They said that it is important to understand and support their just cause by all democratic means, emphasizing the need for comprehensive assistance to the Ukrainian people," informed the public relations office from SEE.

The rector of SEE prof. Dr Abdulmenaf Bexheti he said on the podium that he supports the righteous struggle of the people of Ukraine and this proves that we are on the right side of history.

"If someone understands our Ukrainian friends better, we are among them, unfortunately not alone in this part of Europe, because in Bosnia and Herzegovina - three decades ago and in Kosovo two decades ago, we experienced similar things that caused hundreds of thousands of victims, so they don't repeat themselves," said Rector Bejeti.

Consul of Ukraine in North Macedonia, Kostiantin Kutsenko, also attended this event. Before speaking in SEEE (Tetovo), representatives of municipalities from Ukraine participated in similar tribunes in Novi Sad, Sarajevo and Tuzla.

Nenad Chanak also spoke at this forum, who addressed the students with a specific request to protect this peace they enjoy, because the other side is dark and sad. He said that all his life he fought for democracy and democratic values ​​and he hopes that he somehow influenced the achievement of peace and the establishment of a democratic system in this region.

Short videos of the war in Ukraine were presented to the public, accompanied by authentic images of towns and villages destroyed by the war.

The forum caused debate and numerous questions from the students and staff present.
