The Ukrainian partisan group Atesh claims to have killed the deputy head of the pro-Russian military administration of the occupied town of Nova Kakhovka in the southern Kherson region.

In a post on their Telegram channel, the partisans claim that last night, shortly after midnight, they detonated a bomb and killed the officer as he approached his car on Pobeda Avenue.

No civilians were injured in the attack, the partisan group said. These claims have not been independently verified.

Atesh is a group of partisans and saboteurs who carry out actions in the occupied parts of Ukraine. Ukrainians, Crimean Tatars and Russians participate in its work, and it has been active since September last year.
