Ukrainians claim to have destroyed 30 Russian drones

The Ukrainian air defense destroyed 30 Shahed drones in the southern part of the country last night, Ukrinform reported, referring to an announcement by the Southern Command of Ukraine.
"Thirty attack drones were destroyed in our area of responsibility by the air defense forces: 20 in the Vinnytsia region, six in the Odesa region, four in the Mykolaiv region," the command said in a statement.
After the attack, a strong fire broke out at an infrastructure site in Kalinovka. The authorities in the Ukrainian region of Vinnytsia ordered a partial evacuation of the city early this morning.
- At this moment there is no need for a general evacuation, except in the immediate vicinity of the affected area, said the mayor of Kalinivka, Vasil Polishchuk.
In order to protect the civilian population from the spread of the fire, the local authorities immediately took preparatory measures for evacuation. But since the fire was under control, evacuation was unnecessary, authorities added.
There are no reports of casualties and no details about which target was hit or with which weapon, British media reports.
Regional governor Serhii Borzov said only that an "unspecified infrastructure site" had been hit, a term Ukrainian authorities sometimes use for facilities that generate electricity or for attacks on other important facilities.
