The winners of this year's song selection on Eurovision, the Ukrainian Kalush Orchestra, who should perform at the closing of the festival "Si Star" on August 28 in Buljarica, asked the organizers of the event to cancel the performance of Russian Nina Kravitz, who is also scheduled to perform that night on the same stage, writes "News".

"Kalush Orchestra" on its official Instagram profile called on fans to support the "cleaning of the stage", and from "Si Festival" they expect the cancellation of the performances of performers from Russia, clearly alluding to one of the biggest stars of electronic music, Nina Kravitz , Sea Dance reported.

"Greetings to all. We were supposed to perform at a festival, but they put a Russian singer and it's a disaster. We have already written to the organizer to remove it. If it doesn't work out, then of course we won't be performing there either. And we want to ask you all together to write that she leaves there and that only a normal team performs there. We're all writing here," Kalush Orchestra said in the video posted on the official Instagram profile and directed fans to the Sea Dance festival's Instagram profile.

"Exit teamt" who is behind the organization of "Sea Dance", which will take place from August 26 to 28 on Buljarica beach, responded to "Kalush Orchestra", stressing that they "condemn the war in Ukraine, but that they will never cancel performers because of their nation, race or religion." Recalling that the mission of the festival, like all "Exit" events, is the promotion of peace, togetherness, love, multiculturalism and cooperation.

- We strongly sympathize with all the victims of the war in Ukraine, but canceling the performance of any performer solely on the basis of nationality, race or religion, is contrary to the values for which "Sea Dance" stands. We strongly condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as well as the use of armed force and military events around the world. Our intention to host the Ukrainian "Kalush Orchestra" at the "Sea Dance" festival was expressed even before their victory at Eurovision, because we wanted to support Ukrainian artists at a difficult moment for that country. This is evidenced by the fact that the festival of "Exit" – "Si Star" in Umag was the first in the world where they performed after winning Eurovision.

The organizers emphasized once again that discrimination against any person and artist because of their nationality, religion or race is completely unacceptable and that canceling the performer's performance, just because he comes from a certain country, is not a way to achieve peace, but the exact opposite - the road to further divisions, escalation of hatred and deepening of the conflict.

- Nina Kravitz is one of the biggest stars of electronic music and a long-time collaborator of our festivals, and we know that her attitude is not on the side of war and suffering, but on the side of peace. The performances of "Kalush Orchestra" and Nina Kravitz at the "Sea Dance" festival are a chance to jointly send a strong message of peace. That is the only message we want to send to the whole world, because music has the power to unite and "mobilize" many more people than any armed force - the organizers emphasized.
