Ukraine will receive more than 800 drones from Canada

Canada will donate more than 800 Sky Ranger R70 drones to Ukraine for the defensive war against Russia, Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair said today.

According to the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the drones, manufactured in Waterloo in the province of Ontario, were valued at about 70 million US dollars. The ministry points out that the donation is part of the $370 million military aid announced by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during his visit to Kyiv last year.

"Today's announcement will enable Ukraine to have the drones it needs to detect and identify targets critical to Ukraine's fight. "Canada will stand with Ukraine as long as it takes," Blair said.

As of February 2022, Canada has sent more than $7,2 billion in aid to Kyiv.
